Have you ever thought about giving a personalized Gift Basket? Is it just me or do you also get excited when you give a gift to your friends and family and you know they love it!The downside you give a gift and you just know they hate it! Unfortunately you can't always get it right because what seems right and the appropriate gift for you isn't always right and appropriate for the person you are buying for.Take my mother for instance, if you don't buy her a gift say for Mothers Day you will be in the bad books for weeks. Now before you agree with her, let me ask you this "What do you give someone who has everything"? If you could walk around this ladies house you would understand my problem! Well over the years I have learnt how to stay in her good books by creating something different and unique every year. I also like to make it a gift that I make, so its personal and comes from the heart. Yes you guessed it a personalized "gift basket".Leading up to the occasion, I take some time to think about things that Mum has said she liked over the year and things that she has pointed out in a book that she might like. Then I go about looking for items that would fit into a theme that I can put together into a "Basket".

She loves "glass bowls" so I try to use a glass bowl as the "basket" for my gift and then fill it with items that she likes. It could be as simple as some pampering items or a night out to the movies such as popcorn, candies, a drink, chocolates and two movie tickets etc.Gift Baskets can be all shapes and sizes, you are only limited by your imagination and of course your budget. A gift basket doesn't have to be big and elaborate it can be something small. Presentation is the key to a stunning gift basket!I have always struggled with "creative talent" so when I discovered that making gift baskets was very simple, I became a talented person over night! Something I have found funny since I learnt how easy it was to create a "Gift Basket" is how many friends copy my ideas and give baskets to their friends. I give "Gift Baskets" for all occasions - from Christmas to Marriages, Arrival of a New Baby, Birthday Gifts for Boys or Girls, Leaving Party in fact the reasons are endless. For a boys birthday, how easy is it to get a bucket, spade and sand digging equipment.

A cool towel, hat or cap (write their name on the hat to give it a unique look), a stick of sunscreen or zinc cream. Then wrap it up !! For a girl, they love lots of knick knacks or things they can make. Try putting together packets of beads in a container with compartments. Include some wire and hooks. Your local craft store can help you with the items required.

You can create this "Gift Basket" for less than $15.00 and they love it !.

During the holiday season, most of us are in a frantic search for presents for loved ones and friends. Next time, instead of the usual hassle of selecting a gift which will suit him or her, try sending a wine gift basket instead. Wine gift basketsare a perfect present for both men and women and suit every occasion e.g. Birthdays, Weddings etc. The information below will help you select an appropriate wine gift for that special occasion.

Who will be receiving the wine gift basket? Men will prefer a bottle of wine, which they can open and drink immediately or store in their own wine cabinet (The smile when he or she unwraps the present to discover a 1990 Bordeaux is priceless) whereas women are usually more delighted with a wine accessory e.g. Corkscrew, Crystal Wine glasses or a decanter. Below are the four basic questions you need to ask yourself before you shop for a wine gift. What is the occasion? Different wine gift baskets are suitable for various occasions. Wine gift baskets are a favorite for parties.

The numerous items within will allow everyone to enjoy the gift and enjoy the wine with delicious tidbits as well. Wine merchants also have wine gift baskets for special occasions such as Valentine's Day, Christmas etc. What is your budget? Most nifty wine gift baskets can be had for $25-$50 although fine wines will be more expensive. Wine gifts often include cheese and chocolates (a favorite with children). Just remember it is the thought that counts! What is their knowledge of Wine? If the wine gift is for a beginning wine enthusiast, then a well-written book on enjoying wine will be an excellent gift whereas an expert wine enthusiast might enjoy having a stopper for the half empty bottle of wine.

Try to find a wine gadget that he does not already own, most people will be touched by the thoughtfulness of your gift. The wine gadget will also remind him/her of your friendship each time he enjoys a bottle of fine wine..

How to buy Gourmet baskets for corporate Gifts online AdviceCorporate gift baskets are one of the most significant ways a company can strengthen or create new relationships. A well given Corporate gift can only show your suppliers , retailers, employees or clients that you are serious AND MEAN BusinessUnlike a personal gift, A corporate gift should be a reflection of your business or company. You are not "only" giving a gift ,a wise business man will seize the opportunity to promote his company at the same time..Gourmet Corporate gift baskets should be well designed or decorated to look classy and elegant , they usually contain a combination of wines - gourmet foods - chocolate - fruit -nuts - gourmet cheeses. They don't have to be expensive but , you don't want to look cheap either .Where to buy gourmet corporate gift baskets online .There are many sites online that have gorgeous corporate gift baskets filled with gourmet foods ,cheeses and wines. However , You want to make sure that you buy or send your corporate gift basket from a well experienced online gift basket store that have real gift basket makers .

You don't want your gift basket to look like you made it on your lunch break . This will only show how unprofessional you are An overwhelming First impression should be your " Companies " Ultimate goal . In other WORDS whether you buy corporate gift baskets or any corporate gift online make sure its presentable and you don'tlook cheap, How Much Should I Spend ? The amount to spend varies on how important is the recipient to your business and your Budget .Giving a 10$ keychain to a client who spends 100 000 $ a year at your store in my opinion is not wise . You are better off giving no gift at all .There's that old saying " its the thought that counts " this may be true for personal gifts but for corporate gifts its quite a different ball game ..

Gift Baskets make great gifts for every occasion; they are fun to give and fun to receive! Have you ever wondered how to make a beautiful, professional looking Gift Basket? Well, you are about to learn how!Since you have probably already decided who you are giving the gift basket to, and for what occasion, then the first step is to write down a list of your recipient's interests. By making a list like this, you can decide what kind of theme your gift basket will have, and what kind of gift items you will include. Does your recipient like cooking, gardening, reading, golfing, fishing? Is the gift basket intended for a specific occasion such as the birth of a new baby, or a particular holiday? The answer to these questions is where you will begin to make your own gift basket.Pick a container. You can use a traditional basket as your container, or you may want to use something entirely different. If you are making a gardening gift basket, why not choose a clay pot, or if you are making a fishing gift basket, you could use a tackle box as the container.

You could use a colander for a cooking "gift basket", or an Italian theme basket. You could use a child's small wagon, or a large toy truck as a container for a child's gift basket. The possibilities are endless! Just let your imagination run wild. Now, refer back to the list of themed gift items you made earlier. You will use these items to build your basket. Adding pre-packaged food items into your basket is always a good idea! People love treats! You can also use, wine, champagne, nuts, non-perishable cheese spreads, crackers, popcorn, candy, or whatever special items your recipient likes to snack on.

If you are making a basket for a new baby, you could use baby powder, baby shampoo, baby bath wash, hooded towels, bottles, rattles, receiving blankets and the like. Pre-packaged food mixes, such as pancake mixes, brownie mixes, cookie mixes and so forth make great items for housewarming baskets. Maybe you could use a skillet as your container, and add some wooden spoons, potholders etc. Let your creativity flow! Now it is time to begin to assemble your gift basket. Here is a list of items you will need, they are all available at your local craft store:1.

A Container (basket or something else)2. Foam blocks, newspaper, bamboo skewers, clear tape, scissors, wire cutters, GlueDots (optional)3. Your gift items4. Silk flowers, eucalyptus stems, or other items to "enhance" the basket.5. Cellophane wrap, wired ribbon (for the bow), and shred or curling ribbon to match the general color scheme of your gift. You need a base in the container to stabilize and place your items.

You can use floral foam blocks (available at any craft store), or you can use craft paper, or newspaper. If you are using foam blocks, cut the block to fit inside your container, you might have to cut the blocks in several pieces and them connect them together with bamboo skewers. Be sure to leave a little space between the interior edges of the basket, and the foam. Place some wadded up newspaper in the bottom of your container to set the foam blocks on top of. You might want to wrap the foam in tissue paper first, although this is not necessary, but it will keep the green foam off of the gift items.

Now use the bamboo skewers and the tape to place "stakes" on the back of each gift item. Make sure to leave about 1-1 ?" of the stake hanging over the edge of each item. This is how you will stake the item into the foam so that it won't move around. Place taller gift items in the back of the basket, and smaller items toward the front. Before you "stake" the gift items, set them up in the basket to see which items will fit best where.

Design with an eye for an overall pleasing shape to your basket, distributing the weight of gift items evenly. Tip: Layering items at different heights in the container makes the overall design more pleasing. To do this, simply leave more of the bamboo skewer hanging over the edge of particular items, so that they appear taller when you stake them into the foam.As an alternative to using bamboo skewer "stakes" to place your items, you can put pieces of wadded up newspaper in the container, and then use your hands to smash down "pockets" in the newspaper (or craft paper) where your items can be placed. You can then use GlueDots to hold the items in place. You would put one or two GlueDots on each item, and then secure it to the item next to or to the container itself.

Tip: make sure that you don't put too many heavy items all in the back of the container, as it will make the basket tip over. After all of your items are secured in the container, fill in the empty spaces with shred (available at craft stores) or curling ribbon. Now you can really get creative! Use the silk flowers, eucalyptus stems, or other items you bought as enhancement, and place them into the foam around the sides, and along the back edge of the basket. This is the finishing touch for your beautiful gift! Now it's time to wrap the basket in cellophane. Spread the cellophane out on a flat surface, placing the basket in the center. To cut to the desired length, hold up one end of the cellophane, and the other end that is still attached to the roll, and bring them together above the basket, making sure to leave at least 5-6" extra cellophane above the top of the basket.

After you have cut the cellophane from the roll, bring both ends together above the basket, then pull up the other sides of the cellophane so that all of it meets in the middle above the basket. Take a piece of curling ribbon, and tie the gathered cellophane together with this. Now gather the excess cellophane above the curling ribbon into a bunch. Cut the bunch straight across leaving 4-5" of cellophane above the curling ribbon. Now you can fluff out the remaining cellophane above the curling ribbon.

Finish the basket with a beautiful hand-tied bow using the wired ribbon!Congratulations! You did it, and I bet it looks great!.

Ever wondered what to give the "Person Who Has Everything"? A Gift Basket could be just the thing. Have you been from shop to shop and thought "Yes This is It" and then discounted the gift because it wasn't really what you wanted. My best friend has everything and when I say everything, "I Mean Everything". She has either been given or purchased every conceivable gadget available in the last 5 years. She loves to shop. One of her motto's is "Shop Til you Drop, Spend Til the End".

And she lives by that rule! When it comes to gifts for my friend ? she is "The Hardest Person to Buy For". Oh did I tell you, she even has a kitchen sink on her car key tag !It was while looking for a present for my friend that I thought "What About A Gift Basket". I was in a specialized shop and the sign said "For the Person Who Has Everything" and the light turned on.I'm not sure if you are aware but these days gift baskets have changed. No longer are they the old style cane baskets (although there are some very attractive cane baskets available on today's market). Today Gift Baskets came in all shapes and sizes.

In fact, it is basically up to your imagination as to what a "Gift Basket" should be. You can use old shoes, buckets, calico bags, pot plant holders in fact anything that holds what items you purchase to fill the basket with. Gift Baskets are lots of fun to create and very easy to make. Gone are the days of saying? oh I'm not creative enough to make a professional looking basket. Anyone can make a professional looking basket ? as long as you have some imagination and a willingness to give it a try.If you are stuck for a present for that "Person Who Has Everything" then a Gift Basket is for you! Firstly decide on a theme or if you aren't sure then write down the interests of the recipient ie.

golf or tennis, shopping etc. You could even base it around a coming event. Once you have made the list, work your way through it until you find something that stands out that would fit into your Gift Basket "theme". For today's basket lets say your friend loves to entertain and one of her favorite meals is "Italian" food. You could choose a selection of baskets for this theme; today we will use a large pasta bowl as our "basket" or a large cooking pot. Our basket needs to be large enough to hold the goodies that we are going to purchase so that we can then turn this into a Professional Looking "Gift Basket".

If neither of these ideas appeals to you, let your imagination take over and choose something that fits into your theme selection.Next take yourself down to the local supermarket or deli who specialize in gourmet foods. Set yourself a budget as to what you want to spend and then go about buying non-perishable items to fill the basket. Speak to the shop attendant to ensure that the items you are purchasing fit into your theme. Buy different colors and types of pasta to give variety of color and shape to your basket.Next take yourself to a department store or kitchenware shop and purchase some really great utensils to go with the other items that you have purchased. You could also add an "Easy Step by Step Guide" if they need cooking help, or send them to a "Cooking Lesson" for something extra.Once you have gathered these items, it is time to begin to assemble your gift basket.Depending upon the type of basket you have chosen you may need to fill the bottom of the basket with some shredded paper, as this will give the basket height.

Place the items in the basket to give a layered effect. Layering items at different heights in the basket makes the overall design more pleasing to the eye. Use small pieces of tape to hold items in place. Next wrap clear cellophane around the outside of the basket and tie the top with wired ribbon or curling ribbon to match the color scheme of your gift. To finish off our basket make a gift tag and tuck a small item into the ribbon around the basket to give a professional look.

Congratulations ? you've done it?. "A Present For the Person Who Has Everything" ? A Gift Basket!.

Speaking as a quintessential cat lover, receiving a "Cat Lover's Gift Basket" is second only to receiving an actual cat! Next time you're shopping for someone who is as wild about cats as you and I are, consider the following suggestions. You'll all be happy, including the feline of the group. First of all, decide upon your "Basket". It can either be a medium-sized wicker basket (cats love to nestle inside of them) or it could be a fairly deep cat bed. Inside, on the bottom, lay out sheets of colorful tissue paper, or even a pretty baby blanket.

Following are some ideas for treats to fill the basket or bed. Customize the list appropiately for the lucky person who is receiving the present. -A CD of light jazz that he/she and their feline friend will enjoy listening to together. Cats love jazz. They have such exquisite taste.

-A great looking set of water and food dishes. -A coffee mug with a cat on it. -A Garfield book of comic strips and/or a Garfield calendar. -Cat Nip-filled toys or balls. -A ball of yarn.

Stereotypical, sure....but oh so much fun! -The Video Version of the musical "Cats". The possibilities are as endless as your imagination and your desire to bring a smile to this person's face.Visit: Cat Pause.com.

Once you have made the list, work your way through it until you find something that stands out that would fit into your Gift Basket "theme".For today's basket lets say your friend loves to entertain and one of her favorite meals is "Italian" food.
